Integrated and automated control with the IDL Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Suite

IDL's CPM Suite is a state-of-the-art CPM system with integrated Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities. Software modules and applications enable an individual and integrated mapping of financial processes and tasks. Available in the cloud (SaaS), on premise or as a hybrid, the CPM Suite offers consolidation, financial reporting and regulatory reporting, integrated financial planning as well as BI-supported management reporting.

IDL uses Microsoft SQL for data management. The CPM Suite provides interfaces to various ERP systems (SAP). For example, the automated IDL SAP interface "Smart Connectivity" is certified.

Integrated data management with relational and multidimensional databases

The data architecture of the CPM Suite consists of two different but integrated database models. IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST is based on a relational database. All data from external and internal systems are loaded and stored in this database. Due to improved analysis and reporting options, the IDL.DATAMART supplements the relational database with a multidimensional database with OLAP functionalities for extended analyses.

Integrated and automated consolidation with IDL.KONSIS

Companies and groups map their consolidation process automatically with IDL.KONSIS. The IDW PS 880-certified software enables consolidated financial statements with legal consolidation as well as simultaneously management consolidation.

The monitoring functionality serves process control and security. With IDL.CONSOLIDATION.MONITOR, users can check their tasks and the status of the individual and consolidated financial statements on a role-based basis. At group level, consolidators navigate directly to the respective consolidation tasks enabled by the group monitor. This provides an overview for the entire process and allows users to navigate directly to reporting with a click or drill down to the level of individual journal entries.

Integrated and automated planning with IDL.FORECAST

Directly linked to operative planning, the IDL.FORECAST planning solution enables integrated financial planning. The module supports the planning and forecasting of financial development. The result is a company-wide financial plan in the form of profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow.

Plan and forecast values are entered directly in the tool or loaded automatically via interface. Various planning models as well as planning scenarios are available. Similar to IDL.KONSIS, the planning solution also includes a monitoring functionality, which informs users about the work progress in the process. The workflows enable an automated planning process. The integration with IDL.KONSIS enables the consolidation of both actual and plan values.

Integrated and automated reporting with IDL.DESIGNER and IDL.PUBLISHER

IDL.DESIGNER represents the BI solution within the IDL CPM Suite. The tool directly accesses the Data Cubes of the IDL.DATAMART. Via 20 different dimensions, classic management reports as well as modern dashboards can be individually designed via drag and drop. With IDL.OFFICELINK, the reports can also be exported 1:1 to Excel for further processing.

With IDL.PUBLISHER, companies create their annual and management reports for individual entities and on group level. Based on the data from IDL.KONSIS, the reports and texts can be freely created in the desired design. The tool supports the common output formats Word, PDF, RTF, XML and HTML.

In particular, the reporting of IFRS financial statements with ESEF taxonomy, which will be mandatory from 2020, will sets new demands on the reporting systems. To handle the new reporting requirement, IDL Suite includes IDL.ESEF Manager. The "tagging" of all figures and information in iXBRL format enables a fully automated readout of annual and consolidated financial statements. The application comes with IDL.PUBLISHER, but can also be used independently.
